Our Process

Accessible Design Associates performs an individual assessment of you and your family members in the comfort and privacy of your home. Information obtained includes a variety of individual measurements that address abilities to reach items, eye level, comfortable seating height, and many other facets of daily living. Individual daily activities are also assessed to ensure the space and elements will support the desired functions.

• We measure the areas of the home you are interested in modifying and create a drawing of the existing space or spaces as a foundation from which to work from.
• The details obtained in the assessment phases are incorporated into a new proposed concept floor plan.
• Once the details are agreed upon, finish materials and specifications are selected.
• The complete design package is ready for the construction process. We support the construction process with on-site walk-throughs to verify the technical details are incorporated as designed.
