About Accessible Design Associates

roll in showerScott Adams is the founder and principal of Accessible Design Associates based in Fallston, MD. Scott’s background as a Registered Nurse in critical care and emergency room environments for more than eleven years provides a vital link in the accessible home modification arena. His vast experiences have afforded him the ability to compassionately and objectively provide care for his patients and their families when coping with the high levels of stress associated with sudden catastrophic and life changing events.

This same skill set is what is needed to effectively consult with families who may be facing life changes as it relates to injury or diagnosis as well as the aging process. Scott’s ability to assess the long term needs of individuals and their family members is what sets him apart.

Prior to his career as a Registered Nurse, Scott worked in the residential construction industry. He began working for remodeling companies and went on to manage the construction of residential homes for builders such as Richmond American Homes. His construction knowledge and skills provide a perfect foundation for his home modification consulting company. The nuances of what makes a successful project are forever etched in his memory. Client satisfaction is his number one focus!
Scott greatly enjoyed his construction career and found tremendous satisfaction in his nursing. Wanting to combine the two careers, Scott created Accessible Design Associates so that he may dovetail his experiences by helping people maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes, custom fit for their unique needs.

To further enhance Scott’s qualifications he has successfully completed the Executive Certificate in Home Modification Program at USC and he is CAPS certified through the NAHB.
